mail user on item update

don’t know if someone allready posted this or if something similar exist, anyway

we have the feature to update some of our items, especially when requested by the users and buyers.

another great feature would be to mail the buyers and whoever follows a user when the item was updated. maybe add a small box where the seller can write the new features of his item and that would then be included in the mail, and include a checkbox to let the seller choose to send an email or not, if he just updated the title or something small it would be useless. But otherwise a mail would be better rather the come back to the item page and see if anything changed.

yes that would be nice to, or when an item was purchased

but I think that would be to many emails for the server to take care of

ok I understand but now as I’m postin a message I have the option below to check “Email me when someone posts a reply.” option

maybe add a checkbox or a button to get emails from a specific item. The user will choose himself what email he get.

+1 definitely don’t need emails for every little thing.

In regards to the item update notifications, like the others have said Envato is aware of a few ideas on how to accomplish this and I’m sure it’ll make its way into the redesign sooner or later.
