Making money from YouTube?

Are there any authors on here who keep an updated YouTube channel with tutorials, etc. and actually make money from ads?

A tutorial I uploaded awhile back has quite a few views now and I was contacted by YouTube and told I could become a partner and monetize my videos. I haven’t updated it in awhile, but I added a new tutorial yesterday. I would love to have YT as another source of passive income, but I just wanted to know if anyone had experience in doing this?

I was interested a while ago on this topic too, but i am sure i read something that you can’t get money from videos which contains copyright to others, in this case some kind of software you use. It was stated that videos from softwares, videogames or movies etc. don’t get money, however i hope i am wrong.

I made 10 bucks from videos I took in football games.. lol

Some of the top Youtube channels are filled with playthroughs of games and they make a ton of money, but I don’t really know about tutorial videos.

Well I know you definitely can’t make money if you have copyrighted music on it because it won’t allow me to monetize one video due to that.

The others are monetized and I’ve made about $0.23 in the last couple of days. Haha. Gotta start somewhere I suppose.

There shouldn’t be any problem with what your recording, somebody already mentioned this but there is a big Gaming community on You Tube all making a nice income from playing games such as Call of Duty, I’ve also looked into this kind of thing myself and seen a couple of Graphic Designers with partnered accounts and they do videos on things like tips, lessons and so on.

You should email a guy named IceFlowStudios, he runs a major website & Youtube Account and makes alot from graphic design tutorials, I am sure he can help you!
