It would be nice if I could track select authors and compare their sales to mine on a daily basis. Set goals for myself and track these on extended periods. Just simple stats on how many items, authors I’m tracking sold and how much was made, which I can compare to my own.

Great idea, thanks! Added to our TODO list :)

That said love the site, nicely presented too. The chrome extension is also nice. Like how it gives a quick preview of information already there on the page but allows you to see this information over an extended period in a neat graph. Well done guys ;)

Thanks :)

Actually, besides seeing the rough estimation of everyone’s income, I don’t see the added value of this. There is no extra information that you cannot already see in each marketplace.

Sure there is no information you cannot actually see in each marketplace, as we don’t have any “secret access” to them. We simply analyze the data which is public ;)

But there is some information which isn’t obvious and without such tool, would be heavy to get.

Just for instance:

- showing sales in time. I mean – it’s cool to know that item X sold 1000 times. But it’s better to know that it sold 50 times yesterday, 100 the day before etc. It’s even better if you can relate this to item rating, number of comments it got on given day, having an item on the main page and overall sales on whole market.

- geolocation of all the authors.

- trends. Sure you can analyse the market on your own, but this tool already tells you: best selling yesterday: item X, user Y. This might be a very good tip for you when designing your next product.

... and much more if you dig deeper into it. For us, being authors on TF and CC such data is priceless, as it makes us aware of the surroundings we’re selling our products in. But of course it doesn’t have to be priceless to everyone.

Thanks for your thoughts! As we said – any feedback is superimportant for us now :)

I don’t really mind this but it would be a nice feature for each author to request being hidden from the database. :)

True that! We’ll add such feature soon :)

can you guys, make a montage with more authors? Thats could nicely show whats going on by the time. Here is an example what i mean:
Cryosphere
in this chart they use compare the years. I would like to see how the sales goes up and down with different Authors. Even their sales are different amount probably the amplitudes will show similar shapes.

Yeah, we were thinking about comparing authors on some sort of plot. This is fantastic idea of visualizing it! Bam, put on TODO list :)

And thanks for the promotion :P
