uh oh, I’m seeing “lens flares With extruded 3d logos” on the horizon… stop the madness lol
well i admit i have worked on something similar and got rejected 8 didn’t think it was that similar to motion revolvers project) ...actually a bit more proud of the shadow result i got than actually the extruding of text . i do understand the opposition to similar projects … but there are a lot of similar projects going around of a lot of stuff and i don’t see that stopping anytime soon. i don’t think it a bad thing to have similar projects going around …just as long as it brings a new twist …and upholds the quality
just an opinion.
Right, but all the logo extrude projects are VERY similar. Enter extrude logo, pan camera over logo a few times, reflection across logo. I must see one per review session. If we approve them, that’s all that would be on this site. And to be fair to the original author who has already had about 30 knock offs, we decided we were all good in the extrude logo floaty camera glossy sheen logo stinger category. Jeesh, what a mouthful.
Either way i hope you understand our reasoning. As we catch other trends we will do the same.
I’m sure there is something different you can do with the file in order to make the file somewhat different so its not a waste. It did look good if i remember correctly.
I understand reason for rejections of “elegant extrusion style” projects. But I don’t know why same thing is approved today… It’s not fair to other rejected works…
Agree, the one that was approved today would suggest otherwise. It’s well put together, but essentially it’s nothing more than a 3D extruded logo with a camera flyover.
Agreed. The new one certainly looks good, but when it comes to approving these types of projects, it seems it should be all or none?
