awesome miseld :) can you share a link to the service you did the first job? and how can you know you are the first? :)

If staff agrees i can share screenshots.
I do not see that anyone else left a message that he/she had finished the job on Microlancer, i guess i am the first :)

Remember, the work you create for a client on Microlancer is theirs. They may not want it shared publicly.

Still showing this page… http://www.formstack.com/forms/envato-microlancer_beta_registration . which i already did before. Here is some more info…
  • Mar 19 – Got Microlancer Beta Invitation Mail.
  • Mar 25 – Got Microlancer Terms and Conditions Mail.
  • Mar 28 – Got Microlancer Public Beta Launch Mail.
  • Apr 2 – Got Microlancer Review: Review – (ticket #885) Mail.
What should i do… ? Kinda Confused. Please respond asap. Thanks.

If you followed the instructions in the emails, you should have been directed first to login to our Beta. Once you were in you should have been able to create a service (which you did if you got an email from our review team). We then sent you an email asking for you to accept our terms and conditions, by visiting http://www.microlancer.com/become-a-provider whilst logged in. Once that’s done then your service provider sign up should be complete.

Can you maybe get in touch with me directly jordan (at) envato.com to explain where you’re stuck! I’d love to help.

Jordan, can you please help me? I’ve been kicked out of beta service (no notification whatsoever) and I applied to become a provider, but still no reply. Why couldn’t I login in the private beta?

... Is there any written legal agreement that bound clients so they are not allowed to modify and re-sell service provider’s work ? ...
...However, there are many (legitimate) reasons a buyer might employ your services and then want to modify or resell the outcome of those services, and it is allowed. Remember, with Microlancer you are selling your time and are fulfilling a brief from a client. In most cases they will fully own what you create for them. It might help to read our FAQ on this (Can buyers of services resell the work that a service provider does for them (for instance, resell as stock)? Can a service provider resell work they do for buyers?). http://www.microlancer.com/faq...

Jordan, thanks for the answers.. I’ve read the faq..

So service providers’ job in Microlancer is limited as a ‘design drafter’ right ? Only as expertises who do design tasks apart from creating something? (Not as creative authors who think and create something from scratch for clients.)

Let’s say I have web-design / UI service.. So it is client responsibility to provide a detailed instruction about the concept, the shapes, the size, the texture and the color schemes.. (I have to state that client must provide detailed design brief in my service description page.)

It is client who should think and provide those idea. Client can not hire service providers with only having raw idea (E.G. by only saying “I need a Corporate Style Web / UI design for a tooth brush company in PSD format. Period.”)

And after the job’s done, the PSD result will be entirely owned by client. That PSD is his intellectual property.

Client are free to code it and re-sell the design result on Themeforest / Codecanyon.

Is that what you’re trying to explain? Or have I missed something?

Regards

I think they wiped clean the closed beta accounts. (maybe) I’ve logged in to microlancer and my account was not a provider anymore.

I’ve compiled that “become a provider” request form but still waiting for an answer.

I think you guys should drop them a line about this issue, because I’ve also taken part into the beta and my account is still unchanged, so I’m thinking what you’ve encountered is rather a strange error…

I think you need to go to this link and become-a-provider/accept the terms – http://www.microlancer.com/become-a-provider

where did you find that page?

If i click “Become a provider” on main page it redirects me to this:
