I downloaded the Ares theme today and went to install. I received this error message
“The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.”
As a first time customer, this seems like an epic fail. And I saw somewhere else on the site that support is down. I have no idea where to go or who to talk to. Any advice, thanks! Not a great start with Themeforest and I have used other theme providers before but really liked the Ares theme.

Step 1 – unpack your download (it’s more than the theme) Step 2 – find instructions Step 3 – follow instructions on what to upload and where / how etc.

If that really is an Wordpress theme then you are trying to install the main pack that you downloaded. Unzip that first and search for the theme inside.

WOW , thanks for the quick responses. I never even thought to unzip the file, thinking the zip file was just the wordpress theme. Looks like I’m the epic fail on this one. Now I’m impressed. And relieved, trying to get a site up and running. THANKS so much.
