Hi guys! I guess we should make music suitable for any speaker: cheap mobile phone , tablet and so on… Do you check for mono compatiblity before any upload? How do you sort out phase-cancellation issues? ...most of sample libraries and virtual synths are set to play a wide stereo image and make them mono sounds crap, what do you think about it?

My audio interface have MONO knob – you can easily switch from stereo to mono any time you want. I also like to listen my final mixes on my smartphone speakers – best control ever :) – if you can listen all parts of mix on it, you can listen it everywhere.

Sheesh, I wondered about that a few days ago! I used to have little mono speakers before and mono check was crucial, but lately I somehow forgot about it, probably assuming that the majority of listeners have some kind of stereo setup these days. Though, I often tend to listen my mixes thru a crappy old mono TV, great reference stuff :)
