I’ve set up my mouse cursor so it changes to a graphic. The problem is it always appears behind any movie that I load in.

How can I get the mouse to always appear on the TOP of all movies?

The code I’m using for the cursor is pretty simple stuff: Mouse.hide(); startDrag(“newCursor”, true);

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the quick reply Chuckanucka and sorry for my lack of AS knowledge but where would that go in the script?

I’ve looked on the good old World Wide Web and I found this A/S and the cursor now works:

Mouse.hide(); startDrag(“newCursor”, true); this.swapDepths(this._y);

However (lol) the new problem is is that I can no longer click on any links!!!!!

Any help much appreciated

sorry for the typo should be:

newCursor.swapDepths (999999)

just place it after you have defined newCursor, or if its just a mc on the stage, anywhere will be fine.

the links don’t work because the mouse clicks on your new cursor :)
add this in your cursor :

this.enabled = false;

WickedPixel, thanks for the reply.

But apolgies (it’s me I know it is!!) but my current A/S is now this:

Mouse.hide(); startDrag(“newCursor”, true); this.swapDepths(this._y); this.enabled = false;

but it’s still not working.

Sorry to be a pain, any ideas why the mouse click in not working?

WickedPixel, your script works when I get rid of the: this.swapDepths(this._y);

But I end up with the original problem with the cursor behind the movie!!!!
