Yeah, just once, but I don’t completely understand the reason for that.

I had a customer contact me because their kid grabbed the mouse and caused a 1 star rating on my item. He wanted to change it and apologize so I contacted TF support and they said it’s impossible to change. At that point I wondered if a second purchase would allow someone to counter act the rating, but no dice. It wasn’t a big deal, but I was surprised that nothing could be (or will be) done in this situation. There needs to be at a minimum a confirmation prompt when rating, especially if there is absolutely no way to correct it.

Yes, that’s the point Parallelus!

A buyer accidental rated to low and ask me If he could rate again if he bought a second license

Bad for me, bad for the buyer, bad for envato

Why should a buyer have to buy twice though, to redo their rating.?

Why not just initiate a cookie, of say 7 days. Then show a message :

You have rated this item

Then after 7 days show:

You may revise your rating, and/or vote again

Surely that would be easier huh.

LOL true, it is kind of open for abuse.

But similarly many years ago, we used a very simple rating widget. Which afforded you the opportunity to return at will and change your rating…

Buggered if I recall where tho.. perhaps a vbulletin hack.. not sure
