A bit is an understatement, it should be much much higher
Hehe I know, but as things are, I would be happy with a bit
I just think it’s hard to differentiate those themes. Most of them use shortcodes to create page layouts, or page builder like Visual Composer (with/without sliders). They just play nice with shortcodes/page builder/sliders. Nothing more. If we take out those elements (mostly plugins), the theme become kind of “1 style” theme.
So I think, we should really need to think about what’s really different here. Kind of significant signs that really put them out of others. I don’t agree that “10 variations of page” is one of that.
I can tell you they are not simply different shortcodes and style sheets. They are basically three different templates packed into one. In the same manner, you can pack 40 different themes.
Actually you have a demo content importer and style pickers so its basically more themes in one.
Anyone from staff care to comment?
At the moment I don’t believe it’s something we’re looking at. Ultimately it will be the Growth Team who will decided if it’s something popular enough for a category of its own. Personally, as a buyer, I would find it a bit confusing as to what I was getting in the category and the potential mix of CMS’s would cause me a lot of trouble
