Hi everyone. I’m new here and I hope you can help.

I created this pattern (the second one I created and the second to be rejected). http://www.blossomaz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/PineconePat_Preview.jpg

The first time I got this message, making me think it would be accepted if I resubmitted.

“This File Did Not Meet Our Criteria

This file would be better suited to the [Vectors] category. Please read the category upload instructions and resubmit this file using the [Vectors] upload form.

To upload to the correct category please go to My Account and before pressing the Upload button above it you will see a drop down menu. Change that to the correct category.

Thank you for your co-operation.

And the second time…

“We’re sorry, your item Retro Pinecone Seamless Pattern Files has not been approved for sale on GraphicRiver. This is the reason given by our item inspector:

We really appreciate you taking the time to submit.

I’m really wondering if my style of work it cut out for this site. I don’t want to waste my time if it’s not. I’d love to hear advice and you won’t hurt my feelings. Thanks!

Hello blossomaz, just a little question: what’s the purpose of these patterns? Because I think they’re too ‘messy’ to use as background for your website?

I guess I didn’t really have a specific purpose. Maybe they would be better suited for print. Do you think that is why they were rejected?

It’s perhaps handier to make files with a purpose. This makes it easier for potential buyers to find the item where they’re looking for. This might be a problem with your file. It looks great, but once again: I would make files with a purpose and besides that, I’d recommend to make packets (more than one pattern). This is more attractive for buyers and handier to use. Good luck!

I don’t know if I’m wrong, but I feel like I saw this file online a few months ago..is this possible? Have you deleted and resubmit it or something like that? I’m telling this to you just because it was like my first day on GR and I was looking around to see what kind of files were accepted on sale and I remember this one!

Btw I like this pattern so much, it makes me remember of my school notebooks’ cover :) http://www.puntocolore88.com/foto/img_nature.jpg http://www.peregocarta.it/site/perego_webprofessional_it/ebusiness/0208836_quaderno.jpg

Try to adapt your pattern for something like this (notebook-diary-moleskine covers..) I don’t know if you like this idea, but it can work!

Good luck!

I feel you bro` , my file also got rejected but I`m working hard to improve it.

I would also suggest to make bundles instead of one single pattern.

Cheers!
