I have decided to add work to my portfolio
The way im going to do this is to make a website for a business for free.
Are there any websites where business’s are asking for websites?
Thanks
Will

I had the same idea when I wanted to start adding work to my portfolio. Honestly, I think the best thing you can do to get your portfolio started and develop it is sell templates here at ThemeForest and work on personal projects like blogs.
You could go to your local business’ and ask them so you would also be helping your community.
Doing work for free can also hurt the community…your community of fellow developers.

If the developers in the community can’t compete with a starting out developer… they may not be very good at their jobs. ::evil face:: Plus there are lots of places like churches and other non-profit organizations that can’t afford to hire those developers so why not build something for them for free which helps everyone since community developers are highly unlikely to do that work for free and non-profits can’t afford it anyway.
^^ yeah I was going to suggest building sites for some non-profits… churches and animal shelters. It adds to your portfolio and you are doing a good deed
I would work on assembling a proposal to give to businesses first.
