Unfortunately this file does not meet ThemeForest's strict aesthetic guidelines and cannot be approved. Can anyone give some more information on what I must improve.?
supply a link to your template / theme etc so people can possibly give feedback.
The layout is a little bit to “standard” and you should make more use of whitespace which is important. Also rework your typography and include some more features.
I think, your item has poor quality.
- Please compare your item with latest approved items
- Compare with top files
- Try to find unique things of your file than those files
- Try to find lack things of your file
Focus on main aspect, typography and spacing.
Remember, if your file has poor quality, inspector sends you a very general reply with automatic response. If it has medium quality, sends you a general reply with some suggestion, but it rejects hard too. If your file got soft reject, you are almost reach your goal
It would be get better suggestion if you put here screenshot of your item …
After I tidied up the code of the theme, to be more readable, I submitted it again to “Corporate >> Business”. It was rejected again with the reason:
“Unfortunately your submission doesn’t meet our current minimum technical quality requirements for the category it was submitted to”.
Any information on what to improve will be appreciated.
Sorry Buddy, but all parts are not supposed to be there.
This theme would probably work if we were in 2000, but since we’re in 2012, there’s no way this will ever be used by anyone(not if you offer it for free).
My friend here is a thing. If you know how to code, than find someone to make you design, I dont believe this will be accepted no mather how hard you keep trying, it just dont look good…Dont get mad on me, just want to help you
You’ve tried to do something different which is to be commended; unfortunately the visuals and usability are way off the quality that you’d need to be accepted.
Each element in its own right is poorly designed and there’s no thought given to overall look and feel and how all the different elements on the site work together. How do the following fit together?!
- grain texture
- ink splashes
- Some greek font with fern embelishments
- Drop shadows and text embossing
- grunge borders
I’d sit down with a pile of books on colour theory / spacing / typography / layout / usability / restraint when using photoshop layer effects.
