Hello Everyone,
I’m not sure if you saw my first tutorial, maybe some of you guys aren’t familiar with the great Tuts+ area, give it a shot to learn anything if it’s Audio, Graphics, After Effects, Photoshop and more.

Here is my very first tutorial, for beginners:
How to Get that Anime Look in Photoshop Using a Flexible Workflow

I hope that some of you will find it useful, Enjoy! :)

congrats man, I saw this tutorial recently and it’s awesome, cute character, but I always thought it’s easier… I only sketched them, I mean whole characters, long time ago… was always fun :D

Cheers for the tutorial, i saw it a few days ago and recognised the avatar from here!

It is an interesting way you shade, i used to do it like that just shade black over the whole art piece that just lower the opacity at a later point

But now i just do it with darker shades of the base colour like the picture below

Thanks Guys!
Maybe I’ll make one that will teach how to draw basic face or something, line-by-line because I get lots of requests from my YouTube channel messages to make a video tutorial, I guess people want to learn how to draw more then the shading and lighting itself.

But I’m not sure that it’s something PSD Tuts are interested in because it may look very basic for those who can’t really draw but look for techniques to developed, maybe I should ask them ;)

HollowIchigo – This is awesome !

BTW – Arik, I think it will be cool if you’ll post your Tutorial here (any of them) people should know more about Tuts+ :)

if I would use something like this:

I think people would be panicked away, that’s why I chose a simple shaped creature.

That is cool, KK.

You know, this gave me an idea, I am doing a kids medical book with a physician friend of mine i did not know if i should make the characters in 3d or photoshop. This tutorial rocks so i guess i will use your technique for the book.

Did you use a tablet to draw the character? I got the wacom graphire 3.

Let me know.

Thanks

Cheers
