I think being more descriptive of your problem is needed…

What OS are you using?

What WAMP do you use?

In XAMPP it’s this:

Run -> cmd

Then navigate to C:/xampp/mysql/bin/mysql.exe -u root

Hope that helps.

WAMP doesn’t have to be a package – it’s an acronym for Windows, Apache, MySQL, PHP .

There is however a piece of software also called WAMP , which installs all four.

The terminal is just a DOS prompt – you need to navigate to where the mysql executable is stored.
