The NBA season starts tonight. My Boston Celtics just suffered a blow with Big Baby breaking his thumb in a bar fight. I guess he’s a big dumb baby now.

Lots of interesting player moves this off-season. I think the jury’s still out on whether the Shaq and Vinsanity moves will work out. The Artest move could go two ways. On one hand Phil Jackson has experience coaching knuckleheads (Dennis Rodman) but Kobe is no Jordan politically, and I wonder if Artest and Kobe will eventually clash.

Shaq has teamed up with the Chosen One in Cleveland.

Spurs should be a much improved team with Jefferson. Like my Celtics, they just need to stay healthy.

I’d argue that it’s a better game now. There’s more athleticism and there are new defensive rules that help speed up the game (think Barkley pounding it in the post for 24 seconds. No more of this in today’s NBA )

I got league pass broadband too since I moved and still wanted to see the Celtics. But what’s up with the blackouts? I didn’t realize you didn’t get any TNT or ESPN games. Kind of sucks but oh well.

Celtics can’t be beat this year!
