I am against with new category. Good news for me though ! But i think we need a new marketplace for logo contest, web page design contest, button and icon design contest, t-shirt design contest, banner add design contest, print and stationery design contest, etc. etc. And where we can sell our ready made logos also. So guys what do you think ? Add your opinion.

We recently had to do a pitch for a client, and they requested a design to give them an idea on what direction we would go if we won the project. I’m not a fan of these pitches, because that would mean we would work for free, and we have lots of other potential clients who would actually pay us for the same amount of time. So I prepared a little presentation on how we would use wordpress to upgrade their whole website, and what functionalityit could offer them. When I got there the other party had prepared a complete design of the new website. It was clear to me then that I would not get the project, but even if I had, I would still reject it. If this was what they were expecting, then how would this be later on in the project? How many more free hours were expected of me? We simply decided not to do this ever again. If we got an invitation to pitch a design together with other parties for free, we would simply tell them we’re not interrested unless they pay for it. Lesson learned
