I am new to OpenCart and bought the Teez theme but when i uploaded the theme to opencart found out the hard way that the images aren’t included which is making it very difficult for me to work with. Is there anyone who knows of an easy to use theme that is more of a wysiwyg way to work? Shouldn’t the entire navigation update to reflect the sample theme shown in the sample that I purchased? I’m still getting navigation of the computers for the pull down navigation at the top of my homepage. Is this normal? Thanks for any insight.
You can try talking to the author here: http://themeforest.net/user/raviG
BUT it does clearly say in the theme description, In Bold:
“The product images are for demonstration purposes only and are not included in the package.”
Good luck
Thanks. Is it unusual that images aren’t included when you buy a template? I would just assume cut my losses and buy an easier template to work with but am afraid I might run into the same problems I’m having now. I don’t want to use the images from a template but it sure would be nice to have a place holder to help you populate your site.
Certainly in with Wordpress and I believe also with Opencart you can get a dummy XML file (you could ask the author for this) which is basically all of the content and setting su used in the demo which you can then upload and it will look the same.
In honesty ( and do not take this the wrong way) if you are struggling with how to set the theme up then even with the content in place you will prob have issues along the line.

Thanks for getting back to me. I guess I don’t really get who OpenCart is for. I thought it was billed as an easy solution to ecommerce where you didn’t need too much experience to get your own store off and running. I am a print designer with some web experience which I thought would be a perfect match for me and openCart. So is openCart really more for developers? I’ve watched youTube videos and they all make it look so easy… I wouldn’t really want to hire someone without them teaching me how work with OpenCart so that I could go in and change things after it is all set up. do you think this would work or am I just barking up the wrong tree. Is this really best left to developers or am I just at the bottom of the learning curve?
Hi, if you need a freelancer i am also available, you can contact me as well as take a look at my testimonials /feedback on my profile page http://activeden.net/user/Marvidude#from .
Ha ha – no do not be down hearted with it – I did not mean it to be negative.
I personally do not have that much experience using open cart but do not think it is ridiculously complicated. I sent you links to Wordpress themes with commerce plugins etc. To me that would be an easier solution (it is REALLY easy once you play with it and get used to it) to your problem but am very much prepared for someone with more OC experience to prove me wrong!
