Hi,

Why aren’t there any themes worth more than $60? I’m willing to spend way more than that on a theme that just outclasses every other theme by miles. For a commercial developer it might not seem that attractive seeing as it probably wont be the most profitable price range with the best return of investment. But what if 1 developer differentiates and makes really great themes with a way higher price, wont that be appealing in a way?

Btw, if anyone can tell me how/where to find the best (not nececaraly-, but probably the priciest) themes available, id appreciate it.

Check the magento themes, those are the most expensive here.

This is an impossible case. Everyone has their own opinion – what makes a design blow the competition away for one person may make no difference at all to the next.

With the pricing system on TF a $60 theme would require tremendous amount of features, not to mention absolutely unique & interactive design which translate to hours of development. The risk, work and possible return value are just not proportional enough that it entice authors to aim for this price tag.

If you feel that you have a lot of money to spend and want something less generic then just hire a professional to do it for you. Even at $60, that’s just asking too much from a theme.

Exactly what ANPS said – if you want unique and outstanding design and features custom build the site / hire someone to do it

The reason for this is that from time to time, there’s a project which has no real budget limit.

Are we allowed to talk about hiring the developer of a bought theme from themeforest and let them do customizing?

I think yes…. you can always state here, that you want devs to contact you and would be cool to give the budget estimate here.

That is impossible if we all think better. In order to achieve something like that, that must be a lifetime project with constant upgrading. Web themes are simple not area where you can achieve ‘outclass by miles’.

If you in case succeed to set up standard, at the first sight, very fast will come new/similar themes which will follow that standards and no more gap between your and other themes ‘by miles’.

Simple like that. :)
