I’m french and crazy (of course) and I want to submit a track for the Vocal’s and Lyrics contest. I already done the song but in french language and it seems that there is no place for foreigners here… So i tried to “translate” as far as it possible but i’m sure that it still means something on english. Please take a look to the lyrics. Merci See my dear lady how the time passes Without erosion of his strength and belief Cause unlike our brain our success and bodies To age is for him a joke more than a tear

We daily struggle to remain conscious Loving every day whether is smile or tears But above efforts and for the whole of us We’ll be at the end no more than memories

Love, love, love this monday as if it were the last Love, love before your single life fades in the past Love all the little things that make your daily life Love few words with a friend, and smile with your wife

See my dear lady how the time do laugh Making fun of our pathetic amnesia We all know that he’s starving as the hydra But we breath as if we live a forever saga

See my dear lady how the time do play Pretending to sleep while we kiss on the bay But as soon as we are back to our usual ways The daily round hits us we are only a prey

Love, love, love this monday as if it were the last Love, love before your single life fades in the past Love all the little things that make your daily life Love few words with a friend, and smile with your wife

I really don’t understand why Envato doesn’t like foreign vocals/accents considering songs like this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJMLJVha5sw

were/are a big success in English speaking countries, there’s even completely foreign vocals which if they have a beautiful enough melody seem fine. I mean who really doesn’t like hearing traditional Spanish folk music or beautiful French or German guitar?

If anything, having more foreign vocals could only increase the marketability of this site to other cultures.

As for your translation, the beginning is a little shaky and the middle with the “hydra” seems to spontaneously break into a much more surreal graphical depiction than the rest of the song, which isn’t a bad thing, necessarily I’m just pointing that out. But overall it seems to translate decently, the phrase “The daily round hits us we are only a prey” seems a little off, could you mean “prayer” we “we are only prey”?

Thanks Chenjesu for your contribution and your wised words. This will to push away other languages than english seems stranger for North America. French language is part of the show in Canada ! Two years ago i crossed the Us with my family, 3 months in a motorhome. In some neighborhood in NYC everyone is speaking spanish ! In JFK airport everything is written in spanish anyway! And even inside this wonderful country there are so many ways to speak english. Try to talk to an old man in the depths of Wisconsin ! The accent is so different from LA. I naively thought that the will to separate people with languages was a specificity of the old Europe… So i encourage every AJ foreigners to take part in this contest even if we do not succeed.
