There just to simple add more detail and depth. Try bevel and emboss on them that should work, plus add some multi color to them no one will want a one color button but other wise im loving the 28 glossy web buttons.

Those look a lot better already. Nice job, maybe change the gradients on the buttons a little bit, and add some kind of ‘depth’ to the borders. Nice update tho! Keep it up! :)

You could try naming them “Old fashion buttons”. Something that looks authentically old should be accepted.

I think personally you need to work on the colour schemes, to me they don’t look attractive enough.

The text could do with a little work. I agree with what RZ said, try adding some depth to the border in your last preview iamge. Try it if the border was a metal frame, clasping over the button…
