Need new design for current website

Hello,

This is the website that needs a new design :

Is an online directory about green businesses. (something like : yellowpages.com)

In the homepage, you will see :

- introduction about the website - list of business - navbar - search box - short top 10 lists - ads espace (google ads).

The list of businesses, presents the information per business in the same way of a blog. That means, each business entry, has a title, a picture, description and stats.

When a visitor opens a business page, he or she will see more details about that business. (see website)

The website have basically 2 layouts, the homepage and the entry page(content).

The navbar could have a max of 5 items.

If the search box, could be integrated to the header or close to the navbar, it will be great.

Now about the desired website design, I want something clean, simple, sleek, web 2.0.

Why I need a new design for my website ? Because the one I use right now, is very neutral. It doesn’t represent the mission of the website. The mission is : Get people to know better the green business that exist in their city.

What I don’t want in the design : - Too much green - The feeling that we are seeing a website about green foundation(too serious)

What I want : - cool feeling when we open the website - easy to read - attractive - a mix of black, white and earth color palette - a beautiful picture in the homepage that tells the user that he’s visiting a green business website or about green solutions for the planet. (maybe a sliding gallery)
