Hey guys,
hope somebody can help me with my fb confusion:

I just set up a fb account and set my username to “basspartout”. Since I wanted the timeline view with the cover I then created a page. I could not simply switch to “Timeline” view.

Ok, so now I created my “Artist/Producer” page but I couldn’t name it “basspartout” so I named it “BasspartoutMusic”.
Now I want my “BasspartoutMusic” page to be the default page and I want my “Likes” and activity to appear there, but I cant seem to get that working. :confusedsad:
If I click on a “Like” for example next to my items it still shows up on my old “basspartout” wall and not on the newly created page, NO MATTER if I change it in the AJ social settings of my account to either “basspartout” or “BasspartoutMusic”.

And to make the confusion perfect: fb set up a second page automatically with “Basspartout-Music” (with a dash) and now asks me if I want to use facebook as either “basspartout” or “Basspartout Music”.
But no matter what I chose, I cant get my stuff to appear on the desired “BasspartoutMusic” page.
:crying: So I’d really appreciate if somebody with more facebook experience could point out what I’m missing here. :)

Since it is now a very long post I sum it up again:

Old “normal” wall look: http://www.facebook.com/basspartout

Timeline page: http://www.facebook.com/BasspartoutMusic

and the automatically created http://www.facebook.com/Basspartout-Music

Thanks so much in advance for any help. :)

The “Timeline page” and “the automatically created” are the same.
In my browser, the address looks like http://www.facebook.com/BasspartoutMusic

Now, you have to go on “home page” (http://www.facebook.com/), then there you’ll see the “pages” tab, go to your page and there you have to have the “admin panel”. On the “manage” section you should have the “Use Facebook as…..” button.
The Facebook “like” buttons are linked only to your social profile, not the professional (music) page, si, the solution is to copy/paste the links to your tracks there on your timeline themed page.
I posted on your page, hope that help.

Thanks so much, Mihai.
I’m starting to understand now how it works. I haven’t seen the pages tab before, always thought they must be somewhere, lol. Also found out that I could post your nice comment on my timeline page by “sharing” it to that page.
Thanks again. Greetings, Basspartout.
