I’ve purchased a number of themes and trying to search the item’s ‘comments’ for fixes to issues I’m having is incredible time consuming as there is no way of searching the existing comments for fixes. So what happens is people give up and log the same questions leaving the poor developers having to answer the same questions over and over again.
I can’t even find this in the community forums but I bet it has been logged before too!
All us Authors are aware of this, and it’s something we’re campaigning to get added – but so far no luck!
Sorry for your inconvenience dude
Is there an open post on this campaign? I’ll sign/back it!
Heh, I dread to think how many posts this request appears across, KingDog & the Dev Team are well aware of it I’m sure, so we’ll have to sit & cross our fingers

There were many 2-3 years old threads asking the same and the recent one with staff reply is here:

you can use google advanced search
example:
forum site:http://themeforest.net/item/avada-responsive-multipurpose-theme/discussion/2833226
go to the item comments tab copy the link on the browser address bar. use like in the example above on google. put search term in front then this term “site:” then the address you copied. don’t add spaces between address and “site:”
