Hi all,

I just came across a new and promising Javascript library.

It’s called myUI and can be seen here: http://my-ui.sourceforge.net/

I’ve mingled with the demos a bit and it’s amazing, you can do pretty much everything you want to, without the need to learn it’s structure.

As the author says :

“It was developed to be very easy to use and understand. Actually for most of the components you don’t even need to have JavaScript knowledge, as they actually modify the behavior of normal HTML elements in a transparent way. Usually this is achieved by marking these elements with CSS classes or custom attributes. “

I’m already implementing the slideshow feature for a customer (I got it to work like Coda-slider for example), and will be sure to use it in a WP theme release here at TF.

What do you guys think? Personally I like it because you can tweak it’s behavior pretty much how you like.

Cosmin.

Indeed, jQuery is far more popular.

However, I think myUI is promising, and it can evolve into something quite awesome.

I too am using this for testing now. Just wanted to try something different than the so popular jQuery :)

That’s what I also thought when I saw it.

I see it’s being improved very often and I’m very excited about the gestures thingie :)

@ any Admin: It’s still me, user Cozo, I had already asked support to delete “Cozo” because I wanted a different name.
