Hi Guys,

Our friend ourben has built new audio-players for AJ. They look very similar to the old ones but they should work a lot better. The audio streams and plays without stuttering now and looping is properly supported.

Please take a few minutes and try out some audio files on your machine. If you have any issues then please reply to this post and tell me your browser/OS so we can track down the problem.

Thanks!

yes definitely a HUGE improvement.. the looping rocks.. Great work Ourben..

Just one critique as far as I can tell here… the on/off states could be a little more distinct.. so it’s easier to tell if looping is on or off.. but that’s just me..

Otherwise I think it would be great if the looping could be defaulted to ON for music, and Off for sound effects..

Cheers. :)

Eh… it’s cool and all, but I think it would be better if they came equipped with visualizers and a track select option. So you don’t have to go through a bunch of pages to find all the cool tracks from that author. And you know I’m just kidding, right? Hehe.

I test it with flash player 9.0.115 + FireFox 2 + Windows XP and found following issues:

1- Same buffering issues for the playhead which were in the previous players
2- If you click browser’s back button then the music keeps playing
3- If you try to go away from preview page while music is playing then you get the stream error which can be very annoying.

Yup, cool player!

But no it’s not just you, the on/off states needs more visual focus …....

Good good, looping is necessary :) Working nice on mine. ..And the loop button should have more different visual modes, but important is that it is there, not how it looks :)

Thanks for you feedback everybody!

@ADG3Studios: I’ll have a look at the CSS . All I had done is reverse the gradients for the toggled states of buttons.

@SaafiDesign: 1, What was the buffering issue? 2, That’s a red herring right? 3, I’ll add a subscriber to fix that.
