Hello,

I lost my old Fujifilm FinePix A920 digital camera (9.0 Mpixel, 4X Optical zoom) – sea water – :( and I’m going to buy a new one (12~14 Mpixel – 5x optical Zoom) which costs about $120-140

Any suggestion is much appreciated:
P.S
- It doesn’t have to be Fujifilm
- the most important thing for me is the quality of photos regardless to the dimensions, my old camera was shooting 3488 X 2616 photos but it wasn’t as clear as I wish.

I appreciate your help :)

Maybe you ought to try the Samsung GX-10, it’s cost level is superb for a water/dirt prevention in the way of using a sealed build. This means that it is very resistant to water and dirt/sand/dust etc and all for approx. £300 or so? It has interchangeable lenses too, using the popular Pentax lens fitting.

I currently own one, (as a back-up) and can confirm that I was out at a shoot in torrential rain! It was not damaged in any way!

What about the IXUS .

by Canon. I am pretty sure they have carl zeis lens, not 100% on that. Only a point and shoot camera, but cool.

You might also check out the Pentax Optio W90 . It’s a little above what you mentioned your price range was but it’s also waterproof, shockproof, coldproof and has a great set of features. I bought this one for my sister for Christmas.

I recently bought a canon eos 1000D with extra 300 mm macro lens.

I would recommend you this camera.

EDIT : Just seen your reply on budget limit.
