Hi everybody. I’m in the process of planning a new email templates category for ThemeForest. I’m currently in need of five seed items to get the category going, and am willing to offer extra financial incentives in addition to your regular sales.

If you have lots of experience creating beautiful and accessible email templates, please contact me at sitemanager@themeforest.net with a couple samples of your work.

At that time, we can discuss more details.

I would like to know this also prior to creating any – I have over 5 years experience in creating email newsletters for clients so creating to standards is not the issue – I’m just not interested in spending the time for something to sell at $2 / $3.

Also should we be looking at including tags supplied by the large email people like campaignmonitor.com and how will you test these templates in the massive amount of email clients or should we not have a list of the email clients you are wanting us to develop for – testing email templates is an expensive thing right now (even thru campaignmonitor.com it’s $5 per test and can take days)

Looking forward to more details please.

We’re still deciding on pricing, though I imagine that we’d price items from $7 – $20, obviously depending on complexity.

We have a service that we’ll be using to verify the template in many different email clients. That shouldn’t be a problem.

i’ll create one tomorrow and send to your email address Jeffrey, thought the minimum $7 is still very low, maybe start it at $10 if you want to receive HQ into the TF category library.

Considering all the work involved with testing, I dunno if it would be worth it.

unless we have the ability to be able to test thru your provider at either free or reduced cost I do not see it really worth the time and money required for testing when selling for between 7 – 20 (20 is a little different obviously)

But if we have several issues and we spend 20 – 30 dollars testing to get it correct and then rejected for a simple reason – we fix – then test again we are looking at possibly $40 – $50 + time for development to possibly sell for $7 – which would mean the first 12+ sales are just to cover the cost of testing – nothing towards development time…. not sure it would be worth it at that point.

Hopefully things will become clearer as I would love to enter this market on TF.
