to be fair, the top results still do have travel in their tags or description. So, in theory, the search is doing the right thing and does not display results with only one matchword as a top result.

That’s where everyone does mistake. Buyers doesn’t makes search to find only 2-3 top results for purchase. They may need a dozen relevant items (if not 30+) to make a decision. Not to pick the ones residing in the first 2-3. The irrelevant ones on the 1st page will frustrate them!

And its is not a rocket science to give some freedom to buyers and allow them to pick only items that matches item title & description.

of course the result is crappy, but it is not the same problem we had before (only searching for one of many searchterms).

Having the opportunity to finetune results with options like “only search tags/title” it can become much better. But we both know this won’t happen soon.

So right now we have to be happy that the search for “Travel Opener” does indeed show files that have both “travel” and “opener” in their tags/description/title, and not how it was some days ago showing all files that have only the word “opener” in it (i.e. all files)

Just to give you all a quick update. The sort functionality is back!

It appears when sorting by rating, sales and price. A second click reverses the order shown.

@Creattive it will appear as part of the sort element A/B test in the next week or so. Sorry to be vague. Anyway, once the A/B test finishes and if we choose to go forward with the new sort buttons, this sort arrow will be part of the new sort element.

These days, it looks like A/B tests being made without considering the recent changes. Very recently, we changed the sort system. Now the new one resembles almost the same as the previous one with just cosmetic changes. Couldn’t understand what result you guys are expecting to observe through A/B test?

I mean if you are sure about the necessity of a change – just change and proceed with it’s long term goal – no matter if users use it or not for “now”. When the complete set of navigation elements shipped, then only a conclusion is possible; The question is what will be the intended full set of features. Not sure if I miss something, but is this turning into “design by committee”?
