New Front Page

Just noticed the new front page – the Popular and Latest links seem to be gone and all categories listed – not sure how you get to latest files easily now – anyone any ideas? I understand you can go to categories – view all and then sort by date but seems a little…. unusable? Should be interesting to see how they will fit more categories on a horizontal list tho.

EDIT : Ah! I just clicked on a category after I posted to see how pretty cool that is now – yes this is a great move I think – still not sure about the categories listed horizontally, I understand it helps show all categories in one go immediately, which is very nice, just hope they don’t plan on many more categories or where will they go – great move tho Envato.

Now we all know why they needed their logo animated Great job!

I think It was a interesting feature too for the weekly popular files. The new concept is cool but I think does not help to new templates and themes that are really selling.

personally I wouldn’t like to see a link to the weekly popular files on the homepage, may just kill some new templates and themes, wont be fair on you if you are not a popular author

Means everyone gets on the front page, and then they get even more exposure in the category they’re selling in.

No more domination by the Landing Pages that seem to be popping up every bloody day lol.

I liked that popular items link since I look at popular items on a regular basis, but this also encourages the sells of popular items even more. I am glad they left that link out and I hope I won’t see it on homepage anymore, because there are a lot of good themes that for different reasons don’t sell too much and they are forgotten, which is not fair in my opinion.
