I’m finally starting to brand WebSmacker and received the logo from my designer. What do you think?

I dont like it.

Gradient and color schema isnt nice. Font is dated The Internet Explorer like band looks dated too.

I dont think it would scale well, and really is too busy

As Australia mentioned, it’s not perfect. There are many much worse logos out there that have solid branding power however. The blue is a little more “smooth” IMO. It’s not a bad logo but it does feel a little netscape-esque.

I would like to edit….....

The pixeleted hand picture is not looking good. Use this kind of Hand picture over the globe.

:)

I disagree with the icon niraj suggested.

The “ethos” as far as I see it, is “smack” not point. So the icon is irrelevant and would confuse the brand. However I agree with using a cleaner bold icon.

It looks like a really old internet logo, definitely don’t like it. The use of Serif fonts are not great for web related logos as it makes the logo appear baroque & dated.

As graphic-Studio said would be better something to do with lips. Perhaps lips made out of spider webbing.

However I think it would be much better going for a web 2.0 wordmark logo instead.

Yep, the logo looks dated. The pixeleted hand, serif font – it doesn’t work :(
You can make your own logo – how difficult is it?
