oh I see, well I’m having fun with it. I find it to be more user-friendly that a lot of forums I’ve tried.

I totally disagree. But then you wouldnt use a Chainsaw to trim your nose hair.

Vanilla is a forum, end of story.

Many ppl have tried with varying degrees of success to make it into a dedicated and ticketable support package, but that doesnt really work that well..

As forums go, its only real downside is its search ability, which can be overcome using sphyinx and or waiting till 2.1 is officially released.

But what would I know.

Using Vanilla and it’s ok for me. Going to develop a custom BuddyPress solution but until then, Vanilla does the job good.

I’m also using Vanilla as a “support board” for quite some time and I should say I love it :) It really depends on your needs guys but honestly it does the job perfectly. I have integrated the “Purchase Code” validator so only real customers can register. I also installed couple of plugins to make it more flexible and currently I cannot even dream for a better Support Solution ;)

Also, I’ve seen several quite big TF authors using it ( Zoomit is one of them as you can see from the above comment and I’m not sure if it is OK to mention other names :) )
