I am new to Themeforest but not new to design… I am starting a new project and have it about 60-65% complete and want to get the communities feedback on the site… I still need to work on the fonts/spacing and other formatting, but I want to get feedback on the concept design and how it can be improved… Over the next two weeks I will be modifying it and updating it quite extensively (based on input).... Please leave input and suggestions so that I can try and make a better site for the users…

I find it very confusing. You’ve got the navigation in the middle. When I scroll, the top half goes one way and the other half goes the other way. Is that meant to happen?

Your navigation needs a lot of tidying up. It’s all over the place. You’ve basically placed all the elements randomly.

The copyright info looks out of place.

Replace the social links with icons.

Get some higher quality sample images.

Your navigation links are aligned to the left but your category links are aligned to the right. That makes no sense.

Your entire navigation needs a revamp

I don’t think this design is at 60%. I would put it at around 30%. I’m assuming that the navigation will be fixed at the footer. The way I’m imagining it, it could have potential to be a very good design.

Sorry if I have sounded too harsh.

Jaynesh,

Thanks so much for your observations… The design is meant to flow “from the center… out” I saw the effect on another site and thought that it was a good idea. Regarding the navigation… I AGREE… I was really wrapped up in the over all design and have neglected the text.. I am planning on addressing that in the upcoming update. Also you are spot on about the icons being present instead of text… The images do need updating and color matching to bring out additional colors into the site… I have just placed those images there for testing purposes… but good observation!

I really appreciate the criticism… my objective is to get as many eyes on the project as possible so that it can be unique, and acceptable to the community. It is my 1st try and I need guidance for success….

THANKS!!!
