hi all,

in order to create a WP theme for themeforest , do i have to really do i from scratch each time? (say i want to upload 5 themes). how do you guys do it? every time from scratch? twitter bootstrap? do you use somekind of a framework?

please help :)

You could probably use Bones due to it having a WTFPL license and being a mobile friendly responsive framework… but then again I am not sure what exactly is allowed to be used here at ThemeForest so you will need to verify that.

junkerim, there is no need to create everything from scratch every time. It is allowed on themeforest to build upon solid and proven frameworks done by others as long as there are no licensing issues. Some buyers (but not all, some hate it) prefer having to do with design based on twitter bootstrap, 960grid, skeleton, zurb foundation etc, also if you look on themes already on the market many are based on theme starters and frameworks for writing WordPress themes sometimes open source, sometimes build in house – many authors give credits in theme description listing components used.

Just don’t submit 4 times the same theme with different images and colors:)
