Adobe will charge developers and publishers a 9% revenue share on per application net revenues above $50K for use of the premium capabilities when deploying games through the desktop browser using Adobe Flash Player.
where premium means using both domain memory and stage3d …. nice shot adobe

Flash Player capabilities are not impacted by the premium features and i really don’t care much about Stage3D or game`s and over here no one touch those numbers or will ever use flex ,dead stuff anyway fab` ,not relevant for us……. ,I said a year ago adobe will keep showing flash developers the finge…and we all move on anyway, so its a minor news for us

yeah … still wtf ?
on top of that, they announced 11.2 being last version available on linux as an independent x86/x86_64 library. I had to quit flash as a dev, now i will have to do the same as end user.

So basically I have to pay Adobe to make my game not slow? Again that is totally false. It is only the combined use of the domain memory APIs with Stage3D GPU that falls under the license.
sorry but that’s plain BS. avm2 memory access is slow as f**k and alchemy opcodes were the only way to obtain good performances. They said flash still good for games but now they want a slice of the cake just to use “premium” features
I’ve never used alchemy before but I heard it uses C++ api to make the code faster…
Of the tests I’ve seen alchemy seems to outperform AS3 hands down.
I’m not sure where or how flash are going… Seems like they’re pushing gaming as their main source of revenue now.

Adobe = Morons. Enough said.
Maybe they just want to grab engines like Unity in the balls, look like any 3rd party tools using stage 3d will need to pay.
Shocking they still call flash game 3d when flash is not even a real 3d engine, but lean on 3 party stuff to do the job ,this is total misleading fact by them. (lets see them do trick like that with Photoshop ).
At the end no matter what you do it’s all about money…well with HTML 5 they can’t do much there…. lucky us
.
I agree with flashedge…but its old news we all know that .
I don’t think, this will effect us. flash developers have already moved on to other technologies.
everyone want jquery, html5. no job in flash now
