I’ve been working for hours on hooking the jQuery UI Slider to Nivo Slider for a WordPress template and I definitely have to say thanks to all the authors who contributed over at Nettuts+ for making it less of a pain in the a**.

I can’t wait to get this template done already and upload it!

I absolutely LOVE the Nivo slider. I’m using it on a couple of my current (and future) templates. I’ll be interested to see how the slider integrates with it

If you visit Steam’s website, they have a scriptaculous version of the same thing on the front page. I was inspired and started coding my own.
dang I haven’t checked out the Nivo Slider before and I must say it’s very sharp and very nice to use. Looks like you’re implementing it well and I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Be careful if you’re going to support Opera, it doesn’t work properly – I’ve noticed the same issue on a bunch of themes around here

The Page of the Author doesn’t work in Opera. Anyhow my own Theme with this Slider works in Opera.
UNBELIEVEABLE ! I just made this slider in the design I am working on for 2 weeks now. Can you PLEASE let me use your code? please please please

I’ll make it work in opera, shouldn’t be that hard.

I might possibly release the code on my blog once it’s actually finished and working properly.
Right now the slider button only animates with the slider image movement and when clicking on the navigation arrows, I still have to make the button interact with the slider images.
Interesting topic. I actually mailed the guy who made Nivo to see if I could use it, and he was happy enough. I love it, so to add in a slider for it – well done.
Why don’t you write up a tut for Nettuts because this is exactly the sort of thing they would pay for.
