Any respected designer should do that. But I don’t think many people actually understand why that’s so important
The principle of using base 2 for design is a good one, as it shows the converge of maths even in the rather more abstract world of design.
Of course, one could use base 3 (1, 3, 9, 27, 81), but that would be less useful. It is interesting, as the base 2 notation, ie Binary is the notation on which all non quantum computing operates.
