Any time I have ever tried it just shows a blank white page (I am talking linking to a video page on YouTube.) It also does it with some other popular sites like facebook tab pages.
All in all if you want to remove the frame to add your own this is a quick way.

can’t say I ever had an issue with any videos playing in my live previews. Have never come across any like that either.

Doing it wrong, you would insert the URL of your demo not the entire ThemeForest URL. Then edit your item to use the noFrame URL as your live demo url.
