You will face more competition from non-exclusive authors who may have a team hired just to make templates for example.Buyers don’t care if you are an exclusive author or not they just want quality which is harder to deliver when you work by your own.

True, although overall growth generally has positive effects for exclusive authors as well. It all depends on where the balance weighs down most; more competition or more buyers.
