Does anyone have an idea if there is a way to monitor the forums by a robot who sends me an email when a new thread is opened?

I’m convinced this is not possible with a Envato site function, but maybe with an external tool?

I’m sure there’s an RSS reader out there which can email you updates. Just give it the forum atom feed (eg: http://codecanyon.net/feeds/forums/all.atom )

Thanks a lot mate, that’s a great idea! Didn’t even know this works with RSS (I’m a musician you know… :D ),
I’ll search for this when I have some time.

If somebody else has a hint for a reader out there for a musician and not a programmer, I’m thankful ;)

You can search for RSS chrome plugin.
If you use Windows 8 there is inbuilt RSS reader on tiles ( called as news ), that shows feed like this http://i.imgur.com/FZ1TCF8.png

Thanks a lot for those hints!
Does anybody know if I can get just one “issue-tab” of the forum like “Item requests”?

Great idea. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work as expected, as I get updates for all Item requests, not only on videohive, but for all marketplaces, although I put videohive.net in the link.

However, I was wondering if I can use something like that to tell me when there is a change in my item’s ratings. Like a rss-feed for my portfolio page…

For Videohive forums threads only, use this: http://videohive.net/feeds/forums/videohive.atom

You can’t use feed for that, you would either scrape the whole pages and regex the rating or maybe use Envato API if they return rating in the response.

So, some friends from code canyon should write a nice app to solve this? ;)

Yep it seems a bit broken.

eg: here is the ‘Item Requests’ forum for CC: http://codecanyon.net/forums/topic/item-requests/67

It links to this feed: http://codecanyon.net/feeds/forums/item-requests.atom

I cannot quite figure out what the feed is getting generated from – maybe an outdated combination of all item-request posts from all marketplaces?

Staff/Devs: does anybody know if forum feeds are currently broken, or if there is a way to get marketplace specific forum feeds (eg: only CC item-requests)?
