Now Accepting "Bargain" Submissions

I’m launching a new “Bargain” collection on ThemeForest next week. I want to give a boost to the templates that have simply run their course – meaning items that have been available for at least six months, have sold 30 or more times, and simply aren’t bringing in much income now.

We’ll begin with 5-10 items, and will add 3 new items per month. If you’re interested in participating:

• Give a boost to your older items that don’t sell as well anymore.
• The Bargain Bin will be featured on the home page!
• These older, forgotten items, will lead buyers to your newer works!

Requirements

To be considered for the bargain collection, your item must meet the following conditions:

1. Originally released a minimum of six months ago.
2. Sold at least 30 times or more.
3. Author understands that site templates will be re-priced at 50% of their original value, and WordPress items at 60%. For example, a $15 site template, in the bargain collection, will be offered for $7-$8. A WordPress item, originally offered for $25, will be sold for $15.
4. Author cannot feature more than 2 items in the Bargain Collection at any time.
5. Acceptance is determined by the site manager and reviewers alone.

Please note that we reserve the right to cancel the Bargain collection at any time.

@Arriba – No. Other marketplaces have a “Bargain Bin” of sorts…but it’s a bit different. I believe they feature the items that will soon be removed from the marketplace. Sort of a “last chance” type of collection.

I wanted to still feature quality products, which is why we’ll be trying something a bit different on ThemeForest.
