I know, I’m ignorant. Drink less cola, eat less junk food.
in my office at work we have electronic desks with a nifty little up/down control pad, so can adjust it for standing up
I’m aiming to keep the side effects of age and cortisol under control – but I don’t think the standing desk thing would work for me (messed up the soles of my feet when I was a student by working as a waitress for 12 hour shifts).
So I bought myself a pedometer to encourage myself to get more active, but I wasn’t wearing it properly today as it says I’ve only walked 12 steps!

Some great responses. For the first 10 years of my work life I was on my feet all day. Then I got into this industry and have been sitting on my rear ever since! So I’m changing that today, and hope I can maybe inspire someone else to do the same
I usually going to gym
5 times a week.
I feel better and after i get back home, i’m enjoying better after effects more than before.
So everybody! Get up and go to GYM !!

Personally I prefer to break free from work and go out on my bike for at least 1hour. I’m veeeery lazy, but my knees need my legs to move
Usually I try to do it at least 3 times a week, but this summer is a real pain. Too hot weather, too humid.
Anyway, stay sitted 10/15 hours a day, everyday, is very bad for anyone!

Very cool, but much more expensive than my kitchen counter
I also going often into the Gym, swimming, or do other physical job around the house. Because if you working “hard” fornt of a desk as the designers do, physical movement is a must not only a pleasure. And its not only good and important for the muscles but for the mind as well. When im tired enough physically, got my daily dose of endorfine, then i sit down and start working on a design. My brain is fresh, i have more patient, im calm and feel motivated. And i dont want to throw the desk out.
Everything should be in balance.
