I agree with tomislavn. Can we update the list?
Frankly, It would be great if authors have access to see searching analytics. I am not sure if it is possible.
Can we have an update for the most searched items?
We’re thinking about how to make this info better available to people.
But there are some tricky issues around it. One thing we are wary of is gaming of search terms by some authors. If we release a list of the top search terms – suddenly every item is now tagged with those terms, and they lose value to buyers as a tool to find what the need.
Thank you for the answer, didn’t know someone uses this info to tag their items to be in top of search results. I was primary asking this as a topic starter to get to know what the people coming here really needs, what items will be of interest for them and a profit for us those who are ready to model the most searched items. Maybe you can add to the search result(when the search result is void) the hint for the customer to start a thread, or write on the forum about the items they are in need? There is a whole bunch of modellers here, including me, that have sometimes spare time and could accomplish model requests posted on forum. I am sure this could be useful as this is a kind of freelance work. The customer asks, we deliver via 3D Ocean and everybody is happy, if the customer doesn’t like the created item he simply doesn’t buy it at the end, or if more items are created to fullfill the customer’s need then he/she has a choice.
Or you can play it otherwise, create those kind of most wanted contests to fill the items gaps revealed by search queries. For example every month a contest for a specific term/field etc.
