hi – one problem I’ve had w/WP plugins is that anyone, any competitor who wants to rip off your design work, can just Ctrl-U/firebug your WP page and discover the name and identity of plugins being used.
One tedious workaround is to go through and rename in all plugin source files (Ctrl-F/replace) and all code references inside every php file/css/js so that everything related to that plugin’s name, so that it’s renamed.
Are there any easier methods to rename/obfuscate the names of plugins used in WP sites? I don’t want my competitors scanning source code to find identity of every plugin I use, of course, since it makes it easier for them to copy my design work in my sites. (and for those of you with client sites, they’d ask, too I think). I’m in a highly competitive industry and my competitors always try and copy me.
thx
Don’t care about if they use it also, care about how well they use it. There’s no better method.
