You are selling Extended license but you are not permitting to use your item as a part of a product if any author buy extended license. is it fair? I think not. You should stop sell extended license
Lots of us offer extended licenses. We just don’t want to directly compete with our own work on the same exact marketplace. I’ll give you an example:
- “Author A” buys extended license from “Author B” and adds it to their product
- “Author B” uploads bundled product that ends up costing less money than “Author A’s” original product
- “Author A” is not directly competing and being undercut in price by their own work.. on the same exact marketplace..
And what does “Author A” get out of this scenario? A one-time $30-$50 profit from an extended license sale? For this exact reason, the “permission” clause was just about the greatest rule ever put in place here on Envato.
Very Funny. One buyer can give you 1 star rating. its his personal opinion. I don’t understand why you are crying like this?
If an item has a large majority of 1 and 2 star ratings, 1 star ratings are completely understandable. But for any item that has a large majority of 4 and 5 star ratings, anyone who rates 1 star is either doing it out of spite or lacked the proper skills to be working with the product in the first place. Either way, 1 star raters should be forced to write a 5 sentence review. Because if we’re going give these people the power to directly damage our profits, it shouldn’t be a “fly by” action. Make them work for it, and we’ll have more accurate ratings.
How can you be sure 1 star rating was from that author?
Because I was expecting this and I’ve checked the product page just after the [author] emailed me to see if I really got one star and yes I was right
So, it is still your assumption / prejudge, still not a fact… I think contacting Envato support to get any possible explanation is the best for you, instead of calling the [author] here…
Well….i think its about peoples mentality you can not change…. For example lets see this.
We know that there are some very best items out here… However, every item has some 1 star ranking. Now, those people are sick and does not make any sense. The feedback of 1 star they are giving is not for the item but for their choice..they are ranking themselves 1 star. Because hey, no one is forcing you guys to buy something.
The same problem is here…people now a days have no karma. I have no idea what that author who gave you low ranking thinks he has achieved or he will achieve
