Hello, I was trying to figure out how to quickly develop an option wp Framework. I found two frameworks on the internet and I do not know which one to choose.

About you, What (and possibly Why) is the best options framework between the following: NHP-Theme-Options-Framework (https://github.com/leemason/NHP-Theme-Options-Framework) and WP Options Framework (https://github.com/devinsays/options-framework-theme) ?

Thanks.

nhp is a little bit too old, it hasn’t been updated for a while, I’m using it in my themes, but with a few updates. You can take a look at Redux, it’s a newer version of it.

I have not run into any limitations using the Options Framework by Devin. I built one of my themes around this framework .. very powerful and easy to customize the style of the admin to match brand.

Don’t have much experience with NHP.

Options Framework is widely used and maintained by a good developer. I haven’t had any complaints.

You may want to look into using the built in Theme Customizer as well: https://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Customization_API (see tutorials at bottom)

Hey Redux is actually very nice! Never seen than one before. I normally use Devinsays framework which i like very much because of it’s native look. But i see Redux has a nice import/export function and a good looking google fonts box.

You can also write your own code for the Theme Customizer :)

It shouldn’t take you more than 5min / option :D
