OptionTree 2.0rc2 is available at https://github.com/valendesigns/option-tree click the tags tab and you’ll see the latest version. Please download the old 1.1.8.1 version and set it up like you normally do for your theme in a local environment. Once you’ve got it setup with a theme the uses OT, try and upgrade to 2.0rc1 and see if the process works. Also, test the XML file import and anything else you can. Read the docs find typos, look for bugs, tell me if something didn’t work or your theme somehow breaks. I need to know that the new version is going to be a smooth transition.
If you have a theme here that uses OT, it’s in your best interest to kick the tires before your customers start upgrading. I’ve spent countless hours making sure we all have the best tool to create theme options with, and now also meta boxes. The upgrades to the plugin are substantial, it’s a complete rebuild from the grond up.
Go to the github page and checkout the development branch and send your pull requests there. I’ll be doing one more release candidate before the final stable is sent out, so now is the time to find the bugs or even tell me that it worked. Positive feedback is just as useful.
Thank You Everyone, Derek @valendesigns

I’ll add a if table exists around that code. It’s the code that upgrades the DB table and turns it into an array. Obviously if the table doesn’t exist it’s gonna error out. Thx good catch updating now.

If you’re asking for a feature list, the plugin has extensive documentation written directly into it that you can see once you activate the plugin and go to OptionTree->Documentation. Also, there’s now meta boxes, a complete code rewrite, and so much more that to list it here would be overkill.

Looks nice! Thank you for your work.
I’ve never used OptionsTree but 2.0 looks interesting, is there some easy way to integrate it in theme with default options? Many users have problem with simple theme installation, so telling them to install plugin which is only on github and import settings might be too much for them.
Kudos for your work!

Hi,
I like this version. For now, the only wrong thing is the “New Layout” button that goes below the text field in the main theme options page.

Hi valendesigns!
Thank you for this good plugin!
I think i found a small bug, when i add a textarea (WYSIWYG) to a list item as a setting,
Then i go to ‘Theme Options’, i don’t find the WYSIWYG , i find only a simple textarea..
Thank you so much. Ayoub
