OptionTree is Down?

Just noticed that Envato’s super cool OptionTree plugin went missing this morning from the Plugin Repository (well, buyers have been reporting it).

Anyone have any news on this? I suppose I can use my own copy and send it out to buyers till it’s back up, but any idea of why this happened would be helpful as I’ve got a couple themes that use it by referring to the repository link. It’s a lot easier/safer to just use the TGP plugin activation class than to bake it into themes… but if it’s subject to sporadically being pulled down, I (and anyone else using the plugin) might want to reconsider just including a hard copy

Anyways, I love the plugin and so does everyone else I’ve run into that uses it – here’s to hoping it’ll be back up quickly!

That’s my guess – I remember something like this happening a few months ago and WP3 .3 did just release, so it wouldn’t be unheard of for the plugin to go down for a few hours during an update. I figured a forum post might unearth some news though as there doesn’t seem to be much mention of it elsewhere

Nice idea Curt! I’ll start doing to same if this goes past today – still no word from big D or Envato, but that’s not such a big deal considering it hasn’t been more than a handful of hours so far (heck, they’re just making their morning coffee in Envatoland). For now I’m working directly with any buyers who can’t access it, which seems to be working just fine… I’m just glad I wasn’t taking the day off

It’d be a shame if they can’t get it back up in the repo though, the auto-installation using the TGP plugin activation class upon theme activation was incredibly easy. I feel like I’m back in the stone ages now that I’m needing to tell people how to install the plugin the old fashioned way.

Derek (Valendesign) said they did this a month ago as well. He’s working to get it fixed ASAP . Thanks for the heads up Brandon.

Happy to help! Thanks for the assist Ivor – it’s testament to the quality of the plugin that it took something like a mere 5 minutes to irk people when it went down It’s good to know it’ll be back up soon though, I’ll relay the message.

I notice it’s still not up yet… any further info on what’s going on here?
