Hi – I’m wondering if there’s any other systems like shopify that are developed or can be used like a webshop. With the build in pay-function ofc.

So, do anyone of you have experience of selling things on internet (except your design/code services)? And if you acctually been using a webshop-system earlier which one have you used? Did you choose the right one or did you regret as soon as you started using it. What tip can you give me if I would like to start my own shop and what rookie mistakes should I be aware of?

As mentioned above, I would love to know everything about webshops and your success but also you’re mistakes.

Best regards, Betim

magento is probably the best open source cart system on the market, It really depends on how large of a site you have if its just a couple items you may be better using something light weight like wordpress with the wp-ecommerce plugin or a cart system like open cart. There are a ton of different cart systems just depends on what youll actually need in a site

I’d also like to know what systems would be best for a webshop. I looked at Magento which looks fantastic but many users complain about the fact that it’s very heavy software and that you need some type of superserver to make it run properly.

There are many WP plug-ins but I am wondering which one is the best? I actually prefer something for WordPress as I do have a bit of experience but it needs to be stable and preferably no bugs.

Prestashop looks pretty good but I have no experience with it. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

I’ve read reviews on that plug-in but most say that the support is extremely lacking and very buggy. But ofcourse….it’s free.

Yeah, it’s a plug-in, and it is horrible. I have used it on a project before and spent hours and hours dealing with nothing but what could be described as straight out bugs until one day it just stopped allowing orders to be processed and I had to find a new cart.
