Hello everyone,

I’m new to Envato Market Places. I just have a doubt here in hosting.

I uploaded my first web template and it was rejected saying that

Please provide a working live demo. This is required for the review process.

Currently I haven’t hosted my web template yet and I left the Demo URL input field blank when I was uploading the template.

All I wanted to know is that the products we upload in themeforest will be hosted by themeforest itself or by our own hosting.

Please help me in getting this doubt clarified.

Thanks in advance.

You need to self host all demos.

It means that themeforest will not be hosting it for the sale?

No, they will not host your demo page. Although they will host ZIP file, that your customers get after purchasing your item.

You are correct, themeforest host your files for sale, you host the demo and provide that URL.

Thank you very much for the reply guys.

So I can go for some free hosting providers or hosting it using Google App Engine which provides 1GB storage and 1GB bandwidth per day. That’s more enough for the demo page right?

Do yourself a favour and get decent hosting, you’d be amazed how much of a hit your demo will take whilst it’s on the homepage, if your hosting is poor, your sales will be too.

Spend money to make money.

Okay. Not a prob. I’ll get one. But this is the first time I’m about to do it. Can you suggest me some of the best hosting providers? No worries about the cost actually.

Thank you very much @ FinalDestiny.

I can see some good plans. I’ll go with that itself.

Thanks again.
